Being a mom is hard work. No matter how many stories you’ve heard about sleepless nights, blowouts, and tantrums galore … nothing truly prepares you for the journey that is motherhood. I started this blog to share some of that with you. Sometimes all you need to get through the day is a little bit of wine, a little bit of solidarity, and a belly laugh.
As for myself, I’m really a homebody. We live in a tiny town in coastal Maine. My husband is great, even though he blessed me with my two hellions. He’s the hardest working person I know, albeit the noisiest one. We have a spunky, feisty, but affectionate 3-year-old daughter who constantly asserts her dominance within the household, and her sensitive but witty and headstrong 1-year-old brother.
Two toddlers make our lives exciting, exasperating, and mostly downright exhausting, but I wouldn’t trade a minute of it for anything. I’m told by those who are wiser than I am that these moments won’t last forever, so I’m here to wait out my sentence and share the mishaps and the memories with those of you who can appreciate them as much as I do.
I hope that you pull up a chair and stay a while. Swear with me, drink a glass of wine with me, and find some comfort that you are not alone in this crazy life as we know it.
